Job summary

Pitney Bowes in Aurora, IL is hiring a Presort Associate 1 on a full-time, first-shift basis. You will prepare outgoing mail, verify correct postage and barcodes, and resolve issues on the sorter equipment.

You must be dependable with strong communication and organization skills, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Pitney Bowes is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail with correct date, postage and barcodes.
• Communicate errors and identify bad barcodes in mail/packages.
• Troubleshoot jams and keep mail equipment clear to operate.
• Monitor mail quality before processing and before dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels, bin numbers, and tray-to-code mapping.
• Follow quality management practices to ensure output accuracy.
• Ensure preparation meets stacking and labeling requirements.
• Maintain equipment function and readiness for use.
• Assist with inbound/outbound processing of mail/packages.
• Be aware of acceptance times and truck schedules.
• Meet service level agreements and keep work area safe.
• Performa additional duties as required.
