Qualifications
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Must be at least 21 years old at application and under 40 at referral.
Carry and use a firearm; maintain firearm proficiency.
Uncorrected visual acuity no worse than 20/100 binocular.
Corrected visual acuity 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in either ear.
Submit to a drug test prior to appointment and random testing.
Complete 12 weeks of training at FLETC and 17 weeks at J.J. Rowley Training Center.
Certify registration with Selective Service System if male born after December 31, 1959.
Responsibilities
Provide protection for significant buildings and locations in Washington, DC.
Travel in support of presidential and foreign state missions.
Enforce mandated protective responsibilities.
