Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral.
• Carry and use a firearm; maintaining proficiency is mandatory.
• Vision requirements: uncorrected 20/100 or better; corrected 20/20 or better.
• Hearing must not exceed 25 decibels in specific ranges.
• Submit to drug tests prior to and during appointment.
• Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at FLETC and 17 weeks of specialized training.
