Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral.
• Carry and use a firearm; maintaining firearm proficiency is mandatory.
• Must possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular.
• Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in either ear.
• Submit to a drug test prior to appointment and random drug testing.
• Complete 12 weeks of intensive training and 17 weeks of specialized training.
• Certify registration with the Selective Service System if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Providing protection for The White House Complex and other key locations.
• Traveling in support of the Presidential and foreign heads of state missions.
• Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities under Title 18, U.S. Code.
