Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated, customer‑focused Bartender to join our team at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area.
• Maintain proper and adequate set‑up of the bar daily.
• Guide guests on their beverage journey through descriptive selling of the menu.
• Be accurate in order‑taking, confirming all special requests.
• Act as the master of the bar, understanding details to enhance conversation.
• Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff.
• Assist guests with concerns and guide them to a resolution that leaves them satisfied.
• Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation.
• Requisition and stock all beer, wine, and spirits.
• Maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Mix, garnish, and present drinks following standard ingredient recipes and practicing portion control.
• Input orders into the register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest.
• Lock up and store all beverages, food, and other equipment items, deposit cash drops, and secure the bank.

Compensation

$16.90 per hour.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
