Job summary

West Los Angeles College seeks a President to provide strategic leadership, advocacy, and vision for the college’s mission and programs. The President reports to the Chancellor and oversees operations, with emphasis on equity-centered student success and organizational stewardship.

The role requires a deep understanding of California community colleges, experience in governance, and a track record in advancing student access, success, and workforce partnerships.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or advanced degree from an accredited institution.
• One year of successful senior leadership experience in education, business, government, or industry.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to the diversity of the WLAC student, faculty, and staff population.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and advocacy for WLAC's mission and programs.
• Steer enrollment management, equity initiatives, and community partnerships.
• Lead the expansion of baccalaureate programs and collaboration with CCCCO initiatives (Guided Pathways, Vision for Success).
