Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a project field engineer to support preservation, material management, and turnover activities on LNG-related projects across the Gulf Coast region, with mobility to other units as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years (or 6–9 years) of relevant experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office and project systems. This position is full-time with on-site project work and potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2–5 years of relevant experience (or 6–9 years)
• Experience with preservation, maintenance, storage, and field turnover processes
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specs and vendor manuals
• Strong organizational and safety awareness for field environments
• Proficiency with MS Office and project management systems

Responsibilities

• Implement preservation and preventive maintenance for equipment and systems
• Maintain preservation records and reports for tracking
• Review drawings, specs, manuals and procedures for field support
• Coordinate preservation with construction, quality, procurement, and suppliers
• Conduct field inspections for compliance with standards
• Assist with material receiving, storage inspections and turnover docs
• Prepare status reports, logs, punch lists, and turnover documentation
• Support planning and scheduling of preservation tasks
• Interface with field teams and client reps to ensure execution
• Promote ES&H compliance and zero-accident philosophy
