Job summary

Flyper in the United States is seeking a Preservation Architect on a part-time basis to preserve and restore historical buildings. You will research, plan, and oversee restoration efforts with flexibility for scheduling.

Responsibilities include researching architectural significance, developing preservation plans, coordinating with contractors, obtaining permits, monitoring budgets and timelines, visiting sites, and collaborating with property owners and authorities to meet stakeholder needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in preservation architecture or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of historical architecture styles, materials and techniques.
  • Familiarity with preservation laws, regulations and standards.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

We are in search of a skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team on a part-time basis As a Preservation Architect you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for history and architecture to work on exciting projects while maintaining a flexible schedule

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on historical buildings and structures to understand their architectural significance and construction techniques
  • Develop preservation plans and proposals for the restoration of historical buildings
  • Work with contractors engineers and other professionals to ensure that preservation projects are carried out accurately and efficiently
  • Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities before beginning any restoration work
  • Monitor the progress of restoration projects ensuring that they adhere to budget constraints and timelines
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure that the restoration work is being carried out according to plans and specifications

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $1100 per month for this part-time position
