Preservation Architect

Position located in the United States. The Preservation Architect is responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures while maintaining their integrity and significance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments of historical structures to determine preservation needs.
  • Develop preservation plans and strategies for projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors and preservation agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
  • Conduct research on materials, techniques and the historical significance of structures.
  • Create detailed drawings and specifications for restoration projects.
  • Oversee construction work to ensure adherence to preservation standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
