Job summary

Northeast Health Services, a member of Transformations Care Network, seeks a Prescriber Medical Administrative Assistant (Medical Assistant) to support our Central region clinics. This float role travels to various MA locations and qualifies for mileage reimbursement and a $2,000 hiring incentive at this location.

Provide exceptional customer service, assist with telehealth, medication prior authorizations, and provider admin duties while upholding HIPAA and high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Detail oriented with strong time management skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor with patients and teammates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork in stressful situations.
• HIPAA familiarity and commitment to patient confidentiality.
• Experience as Medical Assistant preferred; call center or medical office experience a plus.
• Experience verifying insurance and scheduling for multiple providers is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and basic clinical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally, respond to voicemails, and use tools to communicate with patients.
• Guide patients through troubleshooting for telehealth apps and portals.
• Process medication prior authorizations and assist providers with admin duties.
• Prepare documents and complete required paperwork for patients and providers.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and collect financial information as needed.
• Document in EMR accurately and timely.
• Support providers with coordination and regulatory compliance tasks.
• Assist with waitlist management and on-site medication handling.
