Job summary

Kiddie Academy of Midtown is seeking a Vehicle Driver and School Age Preschool Teacher to safely transport children to school and summer camp trips. This role requires a valid driver's license and a strong background in preschool education.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Preschool Teacher, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage with young children effectively.

Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of children during transport and completing necessary vehicle checks.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a valid driver's license and knowledge of Department of Transportation Guidelines for transporting children.
• Must meet all state and local requirements for the position, including Motor Vehicle Administration Check.
• Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds consistently throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicle to transport children to and from school and summer camp trips.
• Assists children entering and exiting a vehicle.
• Ensures children are secured in individual seat belts before starting the engine.
• Completes Daily Vehicle Checklist and reports maintenance needs.
• May assist teachers in supervising children as required.

Skills

Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher

Understanding of child development

Excellent communication skills

Certification in child CPR

Valid teaching permit/credential

Education

B.A./B.S. in Education or equivalent experience
