Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Preschool Teacher under the supervision of the Child Care Director to support the development and operation of a quality early care program.

You will implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum, work with families to set learning goals, and ensure safe, engaging activities for children aged 3 to 5. A valid Early Childhood Administrator certification and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Administrator certification is required.
• Must be 20 years of age or older and able to drive 8-passenger van with license and <5 points.
• Background checks including FBI clearance and state/national registries are required.
• First Aid/CPR certification or completion within two months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum using Delaware Early Learning Foundations.
• Plan and conduct activities for physical, mental and social development.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet varying needs and interests.
• Observe, evaluate and document children's performance and progress.
• Communicate progress with families and guardians.
• Attend professional meetings and trainings to maintain competence.
