Job summary

YMCA of South Palm Beach County in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Preschool Teacher’s Aide to support the lead teacher in delivering lessons and maintaining a nurturing, safe environment for preschool children.

The role involves assisting with lesson setup, supervising snack times, classroom cleanliness, and active involvement in playground activities. A 40-hour state required course must be started within three months of employment and completed within the first year.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work well with others in a team

• Experience or training in child care environments helpful
• Completion of required state course within specified timelines

Responsibilities

• Notify the Child Development Director in case of absence.
• Attend staff meetings approximately every six weeks.
• Assist lead teacher in preparing lessons and setting up centers.
• Set up snacks for children.
• Help maintain cleanliness and order in the classroom.
• Interact with children on the playground and during activities.
• Participate in annual fundraising and campaign events.
• Perform other duties as required by the Child Development Director.
