Job summary

South Shore Community Action Council, Inc. is seeking a Daily Lesson & Curriculum Plans facilitator in Plymouth, MA. You will plan and implement classroom activities aligned with the Education Plan.

You will ensure a safe, healthy environment and support development in young children, following Head Start standards and collaborating with families and staff. A lead teacher certification and background checks are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in early childhood or related field.
• MA EEC Lead Teacher certification required.
• Bi-lingual helpful (Portuguese, Arabic, Spanish).
• Must speak and understand English.
• CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background checks required.
• Valid MA driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Develop Daily Lesson & Curriculum Plans.

Core Duties

• Plan and implement all classroom activities that carry out the goals set forth in the Education Plan.
• Create and maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of students.
• Perform teaching activities in accordance with the Head Start performance standards set forth in the regulations, while assuming a lead role in working with varying groups of children.
• Meal assistance and other various activities as assigned.

Core Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in early childhood or related field, or AA/AS in early childhood or related field required.
• MA EEC Lead Teacher certification required.
• Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Arabic, Spanish) helpful although not required.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.
• All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check prior to beginning employment.
• Valid MA state driver?s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
