South Shore Community Action Council, Inc. in Marshfield, MA is seeking a Head Start classroom professional to lead activities for infants and toddlers, guiding social, emotional, and cognitive development in a nurturing environment.
Required CDA, EEC Infant Toddler certification; AA/AS or BA/BS preferred. English fluency required; bilingual skills helpful. CORI/DCF/SORI fingerprint checks are mandatory before starting.
Core Duties: Provide clientele with a nurturing, safe, and healthy
environment to help them develop socially, intellectually, physically,
and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of
development in relationship to the overall goal of social competency.
Perform teaching activities in accordance with the EEC & EHS Head Start
Performance Standards, while assuming a lead role in the classroom.
Involve parents in the educational aspects of the program to increase
their knowledge and understanding of skills and experiences in child
growth, education, and development, specifically with infants and
toddlers. Meal assistance and other various activities as assigned. Core
Qualifications: CDA required, AA/AS, BA/BS preferred in early childhood
or related field. EEC Infant Toddler certification required. Bi-lingual
(Portuguese, Haitian Creole, or Spanish) helpful although not required.
Must Speak And Understand English. Minimum Requirements At Employment
All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint
background check; prior to beginning employment. Date of posting 8/19/26
