Open Minds Child Development Center in Olathe, KS is hiring a Preschool Teacher to join a caring team. You will help implement daily lesson plans, communicate with families, and model professional behavior while nurturing young learners in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Prefer an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
• Degrees in related fields may be accepted with a minimum of 12 credit hours in Child Development or Early Childhood Education.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Proficient with classroom technology, including iPads, laptops, and learning software.
• Physically able to sit, stoop, bend, and move to interact with children at their level.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings and fingerprint background checks.

Responsibilities

• Make a difference everyday and work collaboratively with teachers to ensure consistency.
• Contribute to daily lesson plans that challenge students at all levels.
• Communicate daily with parents through verbal, email, and daily sheets.
• Work with lead teacher and represent Open Minds professionally.
• Build positive relationships in surrounding communities and be a positive role model.
• Effectively manage your classroom/age group and attend curriculum trainings.
