Job summary

The Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida seeks a Preschool Teacher to deliver high-quality early childhood education for residential children using on-site facilities. You will create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans fostering cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth within a safe, inclusive classroom.

Responsibilities include following the Learning Beyond Paper Curriculum, preparing children for the VPK Program, maintaining daily reports, and

Qualifications

• Certification or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Knowledge of Florida DCF, NAEYC, and School Readiness Coalition requirements, including health and safety regulations.
• Experience implementing Learning Beyond Paper Curriculum and Florida Standards in lesson planning.
• Familiarity conducting developmental assessments on children.
• Completion of 10 Hours of State-Mandated In-Service Training annually.

Responsibilities

• Educate and guide children with developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Prepare children for entrance into the VPK Program.
• Follow lesson plans incorporating Language Arts, Art & Creativity, Sensory, Music, Science, Math, PE, Dramatic Play, Positive Self-Esteem, and Self-Awareness.
• Include multicultural activities to promote diversity and cultural awareness.
• Model discipline using positive reinforcement and redirection.
• Maintain safe, organized centers and daily routines.
• Communicate progress with parents and complete daily reports.
• Adhere to Florida health and safety regulations and center policies.
