Job summary

Cadence Education is seeking a Lead Teacher to join our team in a licensed childcare setting. You will lead daily operations, deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum, and partner with families to support each child’s growth.

Under the School Director, you will ensure safety, compliance with licensing, and collaboration with colleagues while supporting children with diverse needs including those with IEPs. Competitive benefits accompany full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to follow safety procedures and foster a safe classroom.
• Manages classroom with structure, consistency, and caring.
• Comms clearly in English with families and staff.
• State licensing requirements for Lead Teachers must be met.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that respects each child.
• Build positive, professional relationships with children and families via daily greetings and ongoing communication.
• Plan, implement, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence programs.
• Maintain a safe, well-supervised classroom following policy and licensing rules.
• Use Cadence systems to communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Document accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors per policy.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development as required.
