Job summary

Cadence Academy Preschool is seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher to create a loving, developmentally appropriate classroom aligned with Cadence Education philosophies. You will lead curriculum delivery, classroom operations, and family communication while supporting children’s growth, including those with IEPs.

The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and ongoing professional development, with competitive hourly pay and full‑time benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• License and licensing requirements for Lead Teachers must be met.
• 6–12 months of early childhood or classroom experience preferred.
• Associate/Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred, CDA/CCP/EEC/NAC credentials can meet requirements.
• Ability to implement IEPs and behavior support plans as required.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment with dignity and care for each child.
• Build positive relationships with children and families through daily greetings and ongoing communication.
• Recognize and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including IEPs.
• Plan, implement, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence philosophy.
• Use Cadence systems for professional communication with families and staff.
• Maintain a safe, well‑supervised classroom following safety policies.
• Document and report accidents and incidents per policy and licensing rules.
• Participate in trainings and meetings beyond regular hours.
