PK Intervention Specialist License or Endorsement required
and Early Childhood License or Endorsement required
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid State Board of Education license/certificate appropriate for the position
Meets all mandated health requirements
Practical understanding of early childhood education
Keeps current with technology and educational advancements that enhance productivity
Ability to:
Maintain professionalism and contribute to a positive work/learning environment
Effectively use active listening, observation, reading, verbal, nonverbal, and writing skills
Anticipate time constraints and manage tasks efficiently to meet deadlines
Skillfully manage individual, group, and organizational interactions
Use tact and exercise self-control when dealing with other individuals
Meet physical demands for the preschool learning environment
Essential Functions Include:
Organize and develop appropriate subject content and learning goals
Assess the academic needs of students and vary instruction to address diverse student learning styles and skills
Collaborate with staff to share knowledge and resources that enhance student learning
Facilitate parental involvement and consult with parents as needed (e.g., phone calls, notes, e-mail, meetings, etc.)
Prepare and implement individualized education plans (IEP)
Work with staff to help ensure that services are provided in the least restrictive educational environment
Collect student data to assist with the evaluation team report (ETR)
Coordinate and facilitate classroom Paraprofessional duties
