Job summary

The Grand Valley Center for Family Learning is seeking a Preschool Teacher to join our team. You will implement the Creative Curriculum, work one-on-one with children, and prepare students for kindergarten while maintaining a playful, communicative classroom environment with 16 three- and four-year-olds.

Ideal candidates will hold a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certifications, and an Early Childhood Teaching Credential or be willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must hold and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Must have or be willing to obtain Early Childhood Teaching Credential (ECT).
• Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of preschool education experience.
• Preferred: 3 semester hours in child development.

Responsibilities

• Reports to administration.
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
• Collaborate with other teachers to plan developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Plan for personalized instruction to meet each student's learning goals using TS Gold data.
• Implement the daily programs.
• Attend weekly classroom team meetings.
• Support diaper changing.
• Attend at least 15 hours of in-service training per school year.
• Be willing to achieve at least a Colorado Shines QRIS Level 2 credential.
• Be familiar with CFL Preschool policies and state regulations.
