Job summary

Little Angels Learning Center is seeking a Preschool Teacher who is enthusiastic and compassionate to join our early childhood team. You will foster a nurturing, culturally responsive environment focused on cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for preschoolers.

As an educator, you will implement The Creative Curriculum for Preschool, maintain accurate child progress records, and collaborate with families to support school readiness.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (CDA credential considered with relevant experience).
• Working knowledge of the Creative Curriculum for Preschool and the Head Start Performance Standards.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a preschool or early childhood setting.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement engaging activities.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).

Overview:

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Head Start Performance Standards and passionate about fostering each child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure school readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences.
• Use individualized instruction and positive behavior guidance strategies to meet the unique needs of each child.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation on child progress, attendance, and assessments in accordance with program requirements.
• Foster strong partnerships with families by maintaining open communication and encouraging family involvement in the educational process.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children by following all licensing regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and administrators to ensure high-quality program implementation.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, training sessions, and team meetings.
