Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team! You will lead a class of students through the school year, assess their current academic levels, and design instruction to meet their collective and individual needs.

You are passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential. With strong creative and problem-solving skills, you love connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare meals
2. Clean and maintain sanitation standards in the kitchen and storage room
3. Keep records of meals prepared and groceries needed
4. Calculate servings using menus and food labels
5. Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
6. Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
7. Communicate with parents and other school personnel
8. Assist classroom teachers as needed
9. Substitute in classrooms as needed

Qualifications

1. Child Development units (minimum 18)
2. Trauma-informed care trainings or certificates
3. Special needs trainings or certificates
4. Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to them
7. Problem-solving and mediation skills
