Drake University Head Start is looking for an energetic Teacher Associate (Highland Park-10 Months) to assist the Lead Teacher with curriculum development and daily classroom activities for preschool children. Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Ability to obtain Preschool CDA certification within two years of hire, Drake University Head Start will pay for it.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teacher instruction and child development following lesson plans; adapt plans to individual learning styles.
• Prepare meals and snacks following safety and CACFP guidelines; assist with health and safety procedures.
• Assist in documentation and confidential record-keeping within applicable regulations.
• Maintain an organized classroom and support special needs within the center.
• Travel for program activities within Head Start service area.
