Job summary

Capital Area Head Start seeks an Associate Teacher to join our team, working with inclusive education and support staff to deliver a quality, curriculum-based program.

You will help develop and implement lesson plans, engage families, and partner with the community to support children’s growth and safety while enjoying a 10-month schedule with summers off and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CDA credential or ability to obtain within two years of hire
• Basic computer skills, MS Word/Outlook, learn web-based systems
• Ability to travel to home visits, trainings, and other locations
• Successful completion of pre-employment processes including clearances
• Passion, enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to make a difference
• Experience in Head Start or Early Head Start is preferred
