Job summary

Reston Children's Center in Reston, VA seeks a Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing, play-based learning environment for young children, focusing on social and emotional development.

You will design age-appropriate lesson plans, manage a safe classroom, guide hands-on activities, and document progress while communicating with families.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or a CDA with preschool experience; CDA preferred; strong teamwork and communication required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred or equivalent.
• Preschool CDA preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; team player.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
• Lead hands-on activities, storytelling and interactive play.
• Observe and document children's progress and milestones.
• Communicate with parents about progress and needs.
• Collaborate with educators and staff for cohesive learning.
• Ensure health and safety per policies and regulations.
