Job summary

Council Bluffs Community School District is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant at Edison Elementary School. The position operates 7.5 hours per day, from 8:00 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m., including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, with a pay range of $16.95–$17.40 per hour and competitive benefits. Required qualifications include at least one of: CDA, an Associate's Degree with early childhood/education coursework (12+ hours), or a Bachelor's Degree with early childhood/education coursework (12+ hours).

Qualifications

• Must have at least one of the following to qualify: CDA, an Associate's Degree with 12+ hours in early childhood/education, or a Bachelor's Degree with 12+ hours in early childhood/education.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required and the District HR Department will arrange and pay for training.
• Experience working with young people in an educational setting is preferred.

It is REQUIRED that you have AT LEAST ONE (1) of the following to be qualified to work in preschool:

• Child Development Associate (CDA)
• Associate's Degree, must include at least 12 hours of early childhood and/or education courses
• Bachelor's Degree, must include at least 12 hours of early childhood and/or education courses

We are also seeking:

• Experience working with young people in an educationsetting preferred.
• Ability to become CPR/First Aid certifiedis required. The District HR Departmentwill set up and pay for the training.
