Job Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for students
• Plan, organize, and facilitate infant/toddler programs
• Engage children in playful activities that promote development
• Teach children about their bodies, emotions, and relationships through modeling and interaction
• Supervise children during outdoor playtime
• Communicate with parents about their child's progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with EHS/HS Education Director and/or HR
• Evaluate and provide training for classroom volunteers
• Participate in case management meetings, consultations, and staff meetings as needed
• Observe children and provide suggestions for behavior management and education programming

Minimum Requirements

• A minimum of an Associate's degree in early childhood development or a related field
• EEC Preschool certification
• Meet Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) requirements
• At least two years' experience in early childhood education, child health, mental health, or disabilities services
• One year of experience as a preschool teacher
• Experience working with Developmentally Appropriate Practice, cultural diversity, and inclusion
