Job Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for students
- Plan, organize, and facilitate infant/toddler programs
- Engage children in playful activities that promote development
- Teach children about their bodies, emotions, and relationships through modeling and interaction
- Supervise children during outdoor playtime
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with EHS/HS Education Director and/or HR
- Evaluate and provide training for classroom volunteers
- Participate in case management meetings, consultations, and staff meetings as needed
- Observe children and provide suggestions for behavior management and education programming
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in early childhood development or a related field
- EEC Preschool certification
- Meet Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) requirements
- At least two years' experience in early childhood education, child health, mental health, or disabilities services
- One year of experience as a preschool teacher
- Experience working with Developmentally Appropriate Practice, cultural diversity, and inclusion
