Job Overview

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3-4 years. The role involves designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curricula, promoting social and cognitive development, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

Instructional Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards supporting early childhood education.
  2. Create a structured, nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning through play and exploration.
  3. Teach fundamental skills such as early literacy, numeracy, communication, and social-emotional development.
  4. Use differentiated instruction to support diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities and English Language Learners (ELLs).
  5. Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
  6. Support the development of good hygiene practices, including potty training.
  7. Maintain high standards of age-appropriate classroom management.
  8. Keep accurate student records, including attendance, progress reports, and parent communication logs.
  9. Collaborate with special education staff, support personnel, and administrators to provide appropriate interventions.
  10. Engage in regular communication with parents and guardians via conferences, newsletters, and meetings, including home visits.
  11. Ensure a safe, inclusive classroom environment that complies with school policies and health regulations.
