Job Title: Pre-K Counts Preschool Teacher

About Lifesteps: Lifesteps is a local, non-profit agency dedicated to providing quality early childhood education. We are currently seeking a full-time (10-month) Preschool Teacher to lead the Lifesteps Pre-K Counts classroom at Dutch Ridge Elementary School.

Position Details:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
• Responsibilities include instructing students, developing lesson plans, creating activities, and engaging with parents/guardians.
• Ensure a developmentally appropriate early education experience supporting children of diverse abilities and their families.
• Supervise and monitor activities of child care assistants, aides, volunteers, and TSS staff within the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
• Pennsylvania ECE Instructional Certification (Level I or II)
• Preferred: One year of teaching experience in an integrated classroom
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Clearances: PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, FBI Dept of Human Services
