As a Preschool Teacher at the award-winning Primrose School of Evergreen in San Jose, CA, you will provide a fun, safe environment for 3- and 4-year-old students to discover new concepts with confidence. Using our provided daily schedule and research-informed curriculum, you'll meet each child at their individual level and guide them through small group instruction as they grow in their ability to absorb and understand increasingly complex information.

Qualifications:

• MUST have 12 core Early Childhood Education units with a grade of C or better (Child development, Child-family-community, two curriculum classes)
• Patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children
• Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred
• Must meet required state background check
• Ability to work on an iPad to enter daily logs, incident reports, and communicate with parents

Responsibilities:

• Engage, interact, and supervise children positively to support their growth and learning
• Maintain a safe, attractive, well-kept classroom encouraging creativity, exploration, and decision-making
• Plan with the Education Coach and implement approved lesson plans and daily schedules using Primrose curriculum
• Monitor and evaluate each child's developmental needs continually
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and childcare regulations
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and activities
