Job summary

Old Colony YMCA’s Plymouth Branch seeks a Childcare Teacher to plan and implement daily activities ensuring children's safety while providing enrichment, physical challenges and learning experiences.

Teachers uphold the center’s code of conduct and align with EEC regulations, NAEYC standards, and Old Colony YMCA policies. Position offers shifts from early morning to late afternoon, with opportunities for growth and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• EEC Certification required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months.
• Negative Mantoux TB test and immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
• Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work and thrive as part of a cohesive team.
• Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to approx 40lbs frequently (children) and move intermittently during work hours.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement the program curriculum in accordance with EEC regulations, NAEYC standards and Old Colony YMCA's policies.
• Gear the lesson plans to the needs of individual children with concern for their interests, abilities and needs, special talents, cultural diversity, and individual style and pace of learning.
• Leadership of daily activities as well as classroom arrangement, appearance and overall learning environment.

We are seeking to employ Childcare Teacher(s) in our Plymouth Branch.

Full time positions are hourly 40 hours weekly M-F; shifts range between 6:45 am and 5:30 pm.
