The role emphasizes planning curricula aligned with EEC/NAEYC and YMCA standards, supervising children, and contributing to staff development. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 21 years of age or high school diploma or equivalent and meet EEC education/experience requirements for Teacher
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required
• Immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead age-appropriate curriculum and activities aligned with standards
• Create a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment
• Supervise children and ensure safety and well-being
• Foster partnerships with families through regular communication and updates
• Maintain attendance, reports, and required documentation
• Support nutrition and wellness initiatives meeting HEPA standards
• Assist with staff training, meetings, and professional development
• Promote YMCA programs, events, and community engagement
• Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming program space
