Job summary

Kamaʻāina Kids is seeking an experienced Preschool Teacher for St. Timothy's Preschool in Hawaiʻi. You will foster curiosity, support language and social development, and lead hands-on activities with engaging lessons.

Work weekdays, no nights or weekends. The role offers a $22–$25/hour wage based on qualifications and experience, plus a generous benefits package and a $500 new-hire bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA, or an Associate’s/Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education.
• 6–12 months of experience in a licensed preschool or childcare program.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, engaging classroom where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.
• Plan hands-on activities built around the interests and developmental needs of your class.
• Bring learning to life through art, music, stories, movement, sensory experiences, and outdoor play.
• Help children strengthen language, early learning, motor, and problem-solving skills.
• Encourage independence and give children opportunities to try, explore, and figure things out.
• Help children build friendships, communicate their needs, and navigate the social side of preschool.
• Get to know each child and celebrate the progress that makes them uniquely them.
• Build positive relationships with families and keep them connected to their child’s growth.

What We're Looking For

Preschool Teachers

• At least 18 years old

• High school diploma or GED

• CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education

• 6–12 months of experience in a licensed preschool or childcare program
