Job summary

Kamaʻāina Kids is seeking an experienced Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom of 3-year-olds at Moanalua Preschool. The role emphasizes turning everyday moments into learning, cultivating curiosity, and building confidence in young learners.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
• 6–12 months of experience in a licensed preschool or childcare program.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, engaging classroom where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.
• Plan hands-on activities built around the interests and developmental needs of the class.
• Bring learning to life through art, music, stories, movement, sensory experiences, and outdoor play.
• Help children strengthen language, early learning, motor, and problem-solving skills.
• Encourage independence and give children opportunities to try, explore, and figure things out.
• Help children build friendships, communicate their needs, and navigate the social side of preschool.
• Get to know each child and celebrate their progress.
• Build positive relationships with families and keep them connected to their child’s growth.

What We're Looking For

Preschool Teachers

• At least 18 years old
