Learning Experience Corp, located in Clarkston, MI, is seeking a reliable Assistant Teacher to work in Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms. In this full-time role, you will support the Lead Teachers in creating engaging and nurturing environments for children while also maintaining cleanliness and order in the classrooms.

The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, and enjoys working with children at different developmental stages. Competitive pay of $16–$18 per hour and various employee benefits are offered, including health and dental insurance and paid training opportunities.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting is preferred.

About The Learning Experience

The Learning Experience – Clarkston is hiring a Supportive and Reliable Assistant Teacher to work across Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, flexibility, and working with children at different developmental stages.

Our center offers a positive, team-oriented environment where teachers are supported, trained, and encouraged to grow in the early childhood education field.

What You’ll Do

• Support Lead Teachers in creating safe, nurturing, and engaging classrooms for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Assist with daily routines such as meals, diapering/toileting, transitions, nap time, and play activities.
• Engage children in play-based learning, sensory activities, music, and early language development.
• Help maintain clean, organized classrooms that meet Michigan childcare licensing standards.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
• Step into different classrooms as needed to support staffing and daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting preferred.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus, but not required.
• Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented.
