About the Role

As a Preschool Teacher at Stratford School, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children aged 3 to 5. You will foster a warm and joyful atmosphere that encourages each child’s natural curiosity and helps build confidence in their unique abilities. By balancing traditional instruction in reading, writing, and math with art and music, the Stratford preschool curriculum teaches 21st-century skills such as communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and analysis.

What We Are Looking For

  • Must have completed 12 semesters or 18 quarters of early childhood education units that should include courses that cover the general areas of early child development, child, family, and community, and program/curriculum, or a bachelor’s degree in early child development
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior teaching experience with young students is preferred
