Job summary

Educational Service Center of the Western Reserve is seeking a Preschool Substitute Paraprofessional as needed for W-E Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools. The role involves assisting students with physical tasks, reinforcing classroom rules, and supporting the substitute teacher in small-group activities.

Applicants should hold an Educational Aide permit or meet Ohio requirements (ParaPro, associate degree or 48/72 hours). Prior experience in special education or vocational settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ohio requires a one-year Educational Aide permit.
• Pass the ParaPro Assessment Test.
• Possess an Associate's Degree or higher.
• Complete at least 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with physical tasks and reinforce class rules.
• Assist substitute teacher and support small group instruction.
• accompany students on trips to the office and/or school nurse; assist with evaluations as needed.
• May perform changing, toileting, stander use, feeding, and related duties as required.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and demonstrate reliability and discretion.
