Job summary

Willoughby-Eastlake City School District seeks a Substitute Preschool Paraprofessional to support students in instructional tasks and behavior management. The role requires assisting teachers, guiding small groups, and participating in student evaluations when needed.

Minimum Ohio qualifications include Educational Aide permit or ParaPro, plus an associate degree or 48 semester hours. Prior experience in special education and/or vocational settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist assigned student with physical tasks and reinforce class rules when teacher is absent.
• Assist substitute teacher and support instructional activities with small groups.
• Accompany students on trips to office or nurse; serve as a resource for evaluation teams as requested.
• Duties may include changing, toileting, stander, feeding, etc., as needed per student.
