Job summary

Community Action Organization Of Western New York Inc seeks an Early Childhood Assistant to help create a safe, stimulating classroom for preschoolers. You will supervise children, support learning activities, assist with meals, and promote family involvement, all under the direction of the Lead Teacher.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• One year of experience with preschool children or educational background in Education/Early Childhood.
• Must enroll in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor children at all times.
• Ensure safety and a stimulating learning environment.
• Assist with academic and play activities and assess required support.
• Help prepare classroom setup and maintain equipment.
• Greet children and parents and escort to bus.
• Assist with meals, nutrition supplements, and cleanup.
• Encourage parental involvement in classroom activities.
• Work under Lead Teacher to support the educational program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Other duties as required by the agency.
