Title: Preschool Summer School Teachers

Date: July 21-24 & July 28-31, 2025 (Summer of 2025 only)

Time: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Description

The Logan Hocking School District is seeking certified Preschool Teachers for our 2025 Summer School Program. This short-term position is perfect for an early childhood educator to engage young learners through creative, developmentally appropriate summer instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with the appropriate teacher license to perform the teaching duties necessary to teach Pre-K - 3rd.
• Ability to work effectively with others.
• Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
• Effective, active listening skills.
• Familiar with the Pre-K On My Way is preferred.
  
  

Terms Of Employment

• Preschool Summer School, 8 day contract.
  
  

Performance Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with the PreK On My Way curriculum
• Create a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment that supports all areas of child development
• Collaborate with the preschool teaching team to coordinate instruction, activities and schedule
• Incorporate summer-themed and play-based learning experiences that promote school readiness skills
• Use observation and data collection to monitor student progress and inform instruction
• Support the social-emotional growth of students through positive behavior strategies and classroom management
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and families as needed
• Set up and maintain classroom materials, supplies, and learning centers
• Adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of preschool-aged learners
• Ensure compliance with district and state early childhood education guidelines and safety protocols
