Join to apply for the Preschool Substitute Teacher Assistant Part Time role at The Diocese Of Rockford.

St. Patrick Catholic Preschool is seeking substitute classroom aides to work in our PK2, PK3, and PK4 classrooms on an as-needed basis.

Schedule

Class days vary depending on the grade level, with hours from 8:00 am to 11:30 am for PK3 and PK4, and 8:15 am to 11:15 am for PK2.

Essential Job Functions

1. Support the Teacher in executing developmentally appropriate early childhood education experiences with various materials across religion, art, music, literacy, science, and mathematics.
2. Assist in supervising activities that promote the health, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child, aligned with Diocesan goals and objectives.
3. Maintain a neat, safe, and organized classroom; assist in the upkeep of educational equipment and materials.
4. Help children establish good habits of toileting and personal hygiene; diaper changing required in the 2-year-old classroom.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Must be a practicing Catholic familiar with Catholic prayers, holidays, and teachings.
2. Ability to organize and coordinate work with the teacher.
3. Effective communication skills with students and staff.
4. Capability to engage in self-evaluation for performance and professional growth.
5. Professionalism in attire, communication, and demeanor.

Qualifications Profile

1. Completion of Safe Environment requirements of the Rockford Diocese Virtus online program.
2. CPR/First Aid training completion required.

Salary: $16.20/hour.
