Job summary

Humble Hearts Academy Preschool & Infant Center is seeking passionate Substitute Teachers to join our early education team. This per diem role offers flexible scheduling and mentoring to help you grow in the field while making a positive impact on young learners.

Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, delivering curriculum, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and collaborating with staff to support each child’s development. Prior experience is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• Background check required.
• Immunizations (MMR, TDaP) as required by licensing.
• Physical exam as required by licensing.
• Negative TB test.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ECE units preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver lesson plans, implement school curriculum, and assess developmental needs of students.
• Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
• Communicate positively with students, parents, and staff.
• Participate collaboratively with other teachers and staff to promote well-being of the school and students.
• Serve and monitor meals.
• Assist children with diaper changing and potty training.
• Supervise children during nap time.
• Assist with duties such as dishes, cleaning, and laundry.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING

WHAT’S REQUIRED

• Pass a background check
• Proof of Immunizations (MMR, TDaP) as required by Community Care Licensing
• Physical Exam as required by Community Care Licensing
• Negative TB testHigh school diploma or equivalency
• ECE units are preferred but not required
• Must be willing to change diapers and potty train
• Ability to stand up and sit on the ground for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend
• CPR & First Aid

Job Types: Per Diem

Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule: varied (We work with your schedule!)

Work Location: One location
