Job summary

Humble Hearts Academy Preschool & Infant Center is seeking an Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our caring team in Hawthorne, CA. You will create engaging lesson plans, implement curriculum, and monitor developmental progress in a warm, supportive environment.

The role emphasizes clean, safe facilities and positive communication with families, staff, and children, including helpers for meals and routines. Training provided; background checks required.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check.
• Immunizations (MMR, TDaP) as required by Community Care Licensing.
• Physical exam as required by Community Care Licensing.
• Negative TB test.
• High school diploma or equivalency; AA in ECE preferred.
• 12 ECE units OR 6 ECE units and currently enrolled in ECE courses.
• Infant/Toddler ECE course (3+ units).
• 1 year of teaching experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver lesson plans, implement school curriculum, and assess developmental needs of students.
• Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
• Communicate positively with students, parents, and staff.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to promote well-being of the school and staff.
• Serve and monitor meals.
• Assist children with diaper changing and potty training.
• Supervise children during nap time.
• Assist with duties such as dishes, cleaning, and laundry.

What you can expect to be doing

• Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the school and the collective/individual interest of its staff and student body.
• Serve and monitor meals

• Supervise children during nap time
• Assisting with any duties as needed by the program, such as dishes, cleaning, and laundry

What’s required

• Ability to stand up and sit on the ground for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• CPR & First Aid

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
