Job summary

Wareham Public Schools at Wareham Elementary School seeks a Special Education Preschool Teacher to provide specialized instruction for 3- to 5-year-olds in a substantially separate preschool setting for the 2026-27 school year.

You will design differentiated instruction, develop and implement IEPs, conduct assessments, and collaborate with families, teachers, instructional assistants, and therapists to support each student's goals and progress toward meeting IEP objectives.

Qualifications

• CORI and fingerprinting required.
• Massachusetts Teacher Licensure in MTDS or Severe Disabilities (PreK-2 or PreK-8).
• SEI Endorsement required for supporting English language learners.
• Experience with young children with diverse learning needs recommended.
• Strong communication and collaboration with families and teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to children ages 3-5 in a substantially separate preschool setting.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Conduct student assessments to determine functional capabilities and placement needs.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, aides, and therapists to support student goals.
• Draft IEPs and progress notes; maintain confidential records.
