Job summary

Early Learning Village in Frankfort, KY, seeks an Instructional Aide - Special Education to assist in implementing IEP services and provide a supportive learning environment for students with disabilities.

The role reports to the Building Principal/Director of Special Education and is paid on the Classified Salary Schedule at Grade 120, with 140 days per year and a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or an Associate Degree required.
• Passing score on paraeducator exam preferred
• State and national background checks required (CAN)

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing services defined in the IEP.
• Provide a learning environment for adapted instruction and accommodations.
• Help collect and record student progress data.
• Administer medications and health services as directed by a professional.
• Assist students with self-care tasks (diapering, toileting, bathing, dressing).
• Support students across settings (resource room, classroom, building, community).
• Assist with behavior management under supervision and implement Safe Crisis Management when needed.
