New Albany-Floyd Co Con Sch is seeking a Special Education Pre-School Aide to support classroom teachers in an instructional setting. The role requires assisting students individually or in small groups, coordinating with staff, and helping manage daily activities and materials.

The position reports to the building principal and offers eligibility for employee medical coverage, dental, and vision, plus sick and personal days.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years college credit or 1,000 hours in past year as paraprofessional or ParaPro assessment.
• Ability to effectively utilize internet searches; use common internet systems; email.

Responsabilités

• Assists students individually or in small groups with lesson assignments to reinforce concepts.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with teachers, staff and students.
• Discusses teaching area with classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Keeps students focused on tasks and reports issues to the teacher of record.
• Works with assistant teachers to meet student needs.
• Monitors students during non-academic activities (lunch, P.E., art).
• Assists with personal hygiene tasks as needed.
• Assists in collecting and organizing instructional materials.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Principal and/or designee.
