Job summary

Boston's Bridge To Excellence Inc. in Boston, MA, seeks a passionate Preschool and School Age Teacher to create a nurturing, engaging classroom and guide young learners. You will design age-appropriate activities and support growth through safe, inclusive instruction.

The role emphasizes family communication, progress monitoring, and collaboration with staff. A degree in Early Childhood Education and EEC certification are preferred; CPR/First Aid is a plus. Growth and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool and/or school-age children in a childcare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Current EEC certification or ability to obtain one.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a background check as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for preschool and school-age children.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and growth.
• Monitor and assess children's developmental progress and communicate updates to families.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and transitions.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support program goals and child development outcomes.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and developmental documentation.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and the broader school community.
