Job summary

Addison Park District is seeking a Recreation Coordinator for Preschool to coordinate daily activities, schedule instructors, and deliver curriculum for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds. You will work with parents and staff to ensure safe, engaging programming and timely communications.

The role requires experience with children (K–8th), ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach in a park district setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience developing programs/activities for children (K–8th).
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification preferred or obtainable upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities and schedule for preschool programming.
• Lead and/or teach activities within the preschool program.
• Prepare and submit weekly lesson plans for preschool instructors.
• Act as Preschool Instructor delivering curriculum for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds as needed.
• Assist in staff evaluations and recruitment processes.
• Serve as first point of contact for parents/guardians and participants.
• Ensure supervision of children by staff at all times.
• Assist with event planning and program improvements.
• Participate in trainings and emergency procedures.
