Job summary

Emmanuel Faith Community Church is seeking an Assistant Director for the Preschool/Infant-Toddler center. You will partner with preschool staff and families to disciple children, support operations during the Director’s offsite times, and mentor teaching staff.

The role includes supervising classroom activities, developing developmentally appropriate curricula, and ensuring compliance with licensing, safety, and church policies while fostering a biblically-centered learning environment.

Qualifications

• Commitment to EFCC’s Statement of Faith, Mission, & Values.
• Preferred BA in ECE with 24 units in ECE and 6 units of administration/supervision.
• Completion of three years teaching preschool-age children.
• Must have at least 3 semester units related to the care of infants.

Responsibilities

• Assist Preschool Director with supervision of an early childhood program and biblical teachings.
• Plan, direct and monitor instructional methods; ensure a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Mentor, train and observe teachers; coordinate staff communications.
• Cover classrooms to ensure licensing regulation compliance and safety.
• Create weekly lesson plans and supervise activities to promote development.
